Merchant tutorial

How merchants build a BigBox bundle

Start with a product page, choose what shoppers can pick, add rewards, then place the offer with a theme block.

First, separate the product choices.

BigBox asks merchants to decide where the offer appears, what customers can pick, and whether the product page item should be part of the box.

Where the offer starts

Active products

These are the product pages where the offer is allowed to appear.

What shoppers can pick

Bundle contents

These are the products or collections shoppers can choose from inside the box.

Optional page item

Source product

The product page item can be included in the bundle when the theme block setting is enabled.

The merchant-side workflow

Each bundle is configured in the BigBox admin, then placed on the storefront through Shopify's theme editor. Keep the bundle in draft until the offer, rewards, and block placement are ready.

Theme setup

Install the app block

Install BigBox, then add the Bundle offer block to a Shopify product template. The block controls where the offer appears and whether it opens as a drawer or sits inline.

Bundle admin

Create the bundle

Name the offer, keep it in draft while you work, and decide which product pages can show it. BigBox blocks conflicting active bundles on overlapping product pages.

Contents

Choose what goes in it

Pick specific products or pull from collections. You can also restrict variants for product-based contents when only certain variants belong in the box.

Limits

Set the box rules

Set the minimum and maximum number of products, choose whether to hide out-of-stock products, and limit the offer to selected customers or markets when needed.

Rewards

Add rewards

Add up to five quantity-based tiers with percentage discounts, fixed product discounts, free shipping, or a mix of product and shipping rewards.

Publish and measure

Activate the bundle, check the storefront, then follow views, drawer opens, add-to-cart activity, paid orders, revenue, and realized discounts.

Then shoppers build the box on the product page.

Once the theme block and bundle rules match, BigBox renders the eligible offer on the product page. The shopper picks products, sees tier progress, and adds the selected items to cart.

Drawer or inline section

The theme block can open a product-page drawer or render an embedded section on the page.

Progress toward tiers

Shoppers see how many more products they need before the next reward unlocks.

Real cart lines

Selected products are added as Shopify cart lines with BigBox attribution properties for reporting.

BigBox keeps the setup tied to Shopify context.

The app uses Shopify product, variant, customer, market, schedule, and order data where those checks are needed. Line item properties help attribution and reporting.

  • Only eligible bundles return for the product, customer, market, and schedule.
  • Conflicting active bundles are blocked on overlapping active products.
  • The editor checks connected Shopify discounts and offers repair actions when needed.
  • Paid-order analytics depend on BigBox attribution properties surviving into Shopify orders.
