Discount types

Each reward tier hands out one of two kinds of reward: a product discount or free shipping.

Product discount

A product discount takes money off the items in the bundle. You can set it as:

• A percentage, for example 15 percent off.
• A fixed amount, for example 10 off in your store’s currency.

The discount applies to the bundle items once the cart reaches that tier’s item count.

Free shipping

A free shipping tier removes the shipping cost when the customer reaches the required number of items. It is a strong nudge to add one more item to cross the threshold.

How discounts apply

BigBox sets up automatic discounts in Shopify behind your tiers. The customer does not enter a code. When their cart qualifies, the discount is applied at checkout.

Good to know

• The amount a customer saves is shown in the bundle summary as an estimate, and the final discount is applied by Shopify at checkout.
• Other discounts or promotions running in your store can affect the final price a customer pays, so test how your offers combine.
• If a reward ever stops applying, see keep your discounts healthy.
