Building bundles

Control who sees a bundle

You can decide which shoppers a bundle is for. This lets you run different offers for different audiences.

Eligibility options

A bundle can target:

  • All customers, the default, where everyone who visits the product page sees the offer.
  • Specific customers, so only the customers you pick, or customers whose tags match your conditions, see it.
  • Specific markets, so the offer shows only in the regions you select.

Customer tag conditions

When a bundle targets specific customers, you can qualify customers by their Shopify customer tags instead of, or as well as, picking them one by one. A customer qualifies if you selected them individually or if their tags match your conditions.

  • Add up to 100 tag conditions per bundle.
  • Choose how tags must match: All conditions, where the customer needs every listed tag, or Any condition, where one matching tag is enough.
  • Matching ignores case and surrounding spaces, so “VIP” and “vip” are the same tag.
  • Customers must be logged in to qualify through an individual selection or customer tags. Logged-out visitors do not see a customers-only bundle.

How eligibility is applied

Shopify works out who the visitor is and which market they are in, and BigBox shows the offer only when they match the bundle’s rules. The reward then applies at checkout for eligible shoppers.

Eligibility and conflicts

Eligibility is also how BigBox keeps offers from colliding. Two bundles can target the same product as long as their audiences do not overlap. For example, one bundle for a specific market and another for everyone else. If two active bundles would target the same product and the same audience, only one can be active. Tip

Use market targeting to run a region-specific promotion, or customer targeting to reward a particular group. Tags scale better than hand-picking: tag your wholesale buyers or VIPs in Shopify once, and the bundle follows the tag from then on.
